Large, Squared Paddle Spoon, Handmade Clay Spoon

These long-handles spoons have a flattened paddle-style bowl and a nice heft. The paddle's Nerikomi patterns are enhanced by the colorful accent glazes along the handle.

Each spoon is approximately 11" long with a 2.5" across the paddle.

These spoons are formed using a process called Nerikomi, in which the porcelain is colored in batches, then laid in patterned canes. The canes are sliced to varying thicknesses, which allows more or less organic movement and shifting of the colors as they're formed into a slab and rolled out thinly.
